Route 603 (Cove Road) Wythe County Bridge Rehabilitation Project Find out about the proposed plan to repair the Route 603 (Cove Road) bridge in Wythe County, located over Interstate 81 and .35-mile from Peppers Ferry Road. During the repairs, the bridge will be closed to traffic and a detour will be in place for approximately six weeks. Project information and National Environmental Policy Act documentation in the form of a Programmatic Categorical Exclusion are available at VDOT’s Bristol District Office located at 870 Bonham Road in Bristol, Virginia, 276-669-6151, 1-800FOR-ROAD (1-800-367-7623), or TTY/TDD 711. Please call ahead to make arrangements for personnel to share more information or answer your questions. If your concerns cannot be satisfied, VDOT is willing to hold a public hearing. You may request that a public hearing be held by sending a written request to Mr. Dan Cannon, Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 870 Bonham Road, Bristol, Virginia 24201, on or prior to January 27, 2021. If a request for a public hearing is received, notice of date, time and place of the hearing will be posted.
