Blevins

James Chesil Blevins, 88, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Helen B. Blevins; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold Lee Sr. and Nellie Blevins of Chilhowie and John Robert and Mildred Blevins of Abingdon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Polly and George Murray of Chilhowie and Nancy and Don Martin of Casselberry, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at the Cleghorn Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Blevins and the Rev. Wesley Eller officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.

The family received friends Tuesday evening, Sept. 25, 2007, at the Cleghorn Baptist Church.

Williams Funeral Home in Chilhowie is in charge of arrangements.

Sizemore

Jerry Martin (Bimbo) Sizemore, 51, of Marion, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 13, 1956 in Whitetop to Estel Martin and Creola Blevins Sizemore.

Survivors include his special companion, Carolyn Buchanan of Marion; two daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and John Thomas of Atkins and Kitty and DeSale Lyon of Marion; two sons, Jason Sizemore of Marion and Jerry Lee Phillips of Norfolk; his mother, Creola Sizemore of Atkins; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn Morrison of Meadowview, Teresa and Allen Speer, Mildred Webb, Margie and Kenny Croy, Pamela and Butch Thomas and Lisa and Eddie Cross, all of Atkins; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert and Beth Sizemore, Curtis and Shelia Sizemore and Ronald Sizemore, all of Atkins; seven grandchildren, Kaytlin Thomas, Payton Thomas, Alexis Sizemore, Casey Sizemore, Thomas Lyon, Austin Lyon and Hayley Lyon; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Joann Phillips of Conover, N.C., and Bessie Royston of Newton, N.C.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, in Helton Valley Baptist Church in Whitetop. Interment was held in Greer Family Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Hutton and the Rev. Rex Hall officiated the services.

Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence was in charge of arrangements.

Trent

Mary Jane Trent, 62, of Glade Spring, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.

She was a native of West Virginia and had lived in Washington County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Jesse C. and Mable M. Parson and was raised by her grandfather, Wilburn Stanley, in West Virginia.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Billy Joe Trent; two daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Doug Smith of Glade Spring and Janet Trent of Abingdon; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jacky and Lisa Trent, Randy and Mary Trent, Terry and Joy Trent, all of Glade Spring, and Gary and Angie Trent of Chilhowie; a special nephew, Junior Trent of Glade Spring; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in the Garrett Funeral Home Chapel in Damascus with the Rev. Gary Ritchie officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Rush Creek Cemetery in Glade Spring.
