Grayson topples Tazewell
Jarred McMillian rushed for 224 yards on 28 carries and scored four touchdowns as the Grayson County Blue Devils topped Tazewell for a 32-20 non-district victory.
Tazewell (1-1) went up 13-7 with 10:50 to go in the second quarter, but Grayson County soon seized control behind the hard running of McMillian.
The Blue Devils also receive 130 rushing yards from Parker Dowell and finished with 390 yards of total offense.
Tazewell quarterback Ty Whittaker was 23-of-37 for 314 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.
Chase McDonald (five catches, 111 yards), Ellis Day (seven catches, 50 yards) and Caden Williamson scored the TDs for the Bulldogs.

Lee High shuts out Richlands
A 78-yard interception return for a touchdown by Ethan Sullivan highlighted a strong defensive effort by Lee High as the Generals blanked the Blue Tornado 33-0 at Ernie Hicks Stadium.
Lee (2-1) limited Richlands (0-3) to 86 yards of total offense.
Aiden Bates rushed for 192 yards with two touchdowns for Lee.
Meanwhile, Clay Robbins had 97 passing yards for the Generals and threw touchdown passes to Collyn Chasteen and John Wynn.

Richlands blanks G-Girls
Patlyn Barnett had 24 digs and 21 service points to highlight the Richlands Blue Tornado’s 26-24, 25-19, 26-24 Southwest District victory over Graham.
Averi Fuller added 11 service points, eight kills, eight digs and five assists for the Blues.
Marion topples Tazewell
Aubrey Yarber and Abby Rabara each had seven kills as the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes trumped Tazewell for a 25-4, 25-7, 25-11 Southwest District victory.
Macie Hanshew spent most of the match for the ‘Canes at the service line as she had 15 aces among her 36 service points. She also doled out 16 assists and tallied two kills of her own.
Holston outlasts Richlands
Lydia Reid had a 21-dig, five-kill, four-ace stat line as the Holston Cavaliers outlasted Richlands for a 30-28, 24-26, 15-25, 25-21, 15-12 triumph.
Payton Long (17 digs, four aces), Lucy Howard (21 digs), Haleigh Dutton (15 assists), Bailee Singleton (10 kills, seven blocks) and Ella Evans also helped Holston beat the Blue Tornado for the second time this season.
“Our girls showed some grit tonight,” said Holston coach Jason Delp. “We overcame some unforced errors early on and put together a couple quality sets. Richlands is so athletic. They seem to pick up every ball. Sometimes that makes for a long night.”
Southern Gap bests G-Girls
Kendall Brown served four aces as the Southern Gap Eagles earned a 3-1 Southwest District win.
Claire Griffey (20 digs, 10 service points) Bella Hurley (eight assists), Lucy Savage (seven kills), Madison Lester (four blocks), Adyson Bell (nine assists), Leah Rasnake (10 digs, eight kills) were on point as well for Gap.
Pioneers blank Bulldogs
Kenlie Fields was automatic from the service line with 21 aces as the Lebanon Pioneers trounced Tazewell 25-7, 25-15, 25-14 in a Southwest District victory.
Kaytie Lampkin (seven digs, five kills, three blocks), Carlee Ingram (18 service points, nine kills, three aces) and Jaidyn Fields (nine kills, five aces) paced the Pioneers as well.
