Lockdown lifted at New River Community College after search (copy)

A report of a possible shooter on campus sparked a lockdown of New River Community College in Dublin on Friday morning. The college lifted the lockdown at 10:15 a.m. after law enforcement officers investigated the report and cleared the campus.
No threat was found and law enforcement are investigating the phone call, which reported a possible shooter in Godbey Hall.
The Dublin and Christiansburg campuses of New River Community College will remain closed Friday.
The Christiansburg campus was the site of a shooting in April 2013 that left two people wounded. The gunman, a former NRCC student wielding a shotgun, pleaded guilty in 2014 to two counts of aggravated malicious wounding and firearms violations and was sentenced to serve 38 years in prison.
