Fourth of July weekend celebrations were met with ideal summer weather and cloudless skies, perfect for fireworks, which were sponsored by Floyd’s Merchant’s and Businessmen’s Association.

A community celebration took place at Floyd County High School, and the Floyd Country Store celebrated with Sammy Shelor, while the Republican Party of Floyd held its first annual Independence Day Celebration at StoneHaven in Floyd.
