May 21- Veterans Benefit Education for You and Your Family at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library on Thursday, May 21st at 10 am. Mountain Valor brings veteran benefits outreach directly to you. Our volunteer team helps veterans and their families with federal, state, and local services.
May 21-Scrabble at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library on Thursday, May 21st at 1:30 pm. Enjoy a challenging and fun game of Scrabble with other word enthusiasts!
May 23- Saturday Morning Movie Matinee at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library on Saturday, May 23rd at 10 am. Come join us for a viewing and discussion of a historical drama by Tim Robbins. This film explores the power of art in the 1930s through a fictionalized story based on the true events of the creating of a 1937 Marc Blitzstein work. Feel free to bring a blanket and pillow for comfort. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.
May 23- Author Talk with Marsha Winters at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library on Saturday, May 23rd at 2 pm. With Good Reasons delves into Marcia’s introduction to co-dependency and her reflections on past traumas. Transformative healing emerges through her deep connection with nature, spiritual life, and counseling. Marcia will speak about her memoir creation process and read selections from her book. The book will be available at the event.

May 28- DMV Connect at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library on Thursday, May 28th from 10 am – 4 pm. Closed from 12:30-1:30 pm for lunch. DMV will be at the library providing most of their services. Walk-ins welcome!

May 28- Not Just Anime Club for Teens at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library on Thursday, May 28th at 5 pm. Watch Anime shows and movies with friends, listen to music, talk about Manga, and learn about Japanese culture and language. Snacks and activities provided.
Optional: Bring something anime or manga related for "show and tell." For ages 11+. Meets the 4th Thursday each month.
May 29- American Red Cross at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library on Friday, May 29th from 11 am. until 3 pm. Save a life! American Red Cross blood drive. Walk-ins are welcome, or sign up in advance. Long sleeve t-shirts for all who donate!
