On Thursday June 25, Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion announced a new Sunday night show, Party at the Paramount presented by Raising Cane’s to be held Sunday, Sept.13, at 9 p.m.
The Sunday night show will serve as the official after party of Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion and is the first event of its kind to be held following the festival.
Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers will open its doors in Johnson City this summer. As one of its first investments in the community, Raising Cane's has partnered with Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion to present Party at the Paramount, helping make this special evening of live music possible.

Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, a division of the nonprofit Birthplace of Country Music, is returning to State Street in Historic Downtown Bristol on Sept. 11-13, boasting a lineup including headliners Sierra Ferrell, Old Crow Medicine Show, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Los Lobos, and The War and Treaty, plus legendary favorites Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, The Del McCoury Band, emerging artists Mon Rovîa, The Creekers, Trousdale, and The Band Loula, and local artists Chancellor Lawson, Ashton Davison, and Logan & McKenna, to name a few.
This year Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion is striving to pull out all the stops for the 25th Anniversary of the festival. This includes four special reunion sets, including an Anniversary Jam with Jim Lauderdale and Donna the Buffalo, and Big Daddy Love’s Mo-Grass featuring Florencia & The Feeling. The music will also last later into the evening on Sunday for festival-goers, with Old Crow Medicine Show closing out the festival on the State Street Stage from 7-8:30 p.m.
On June 25, as a special treat for festival goers or music lovers in the area, the Birthplace of Country Music announced the very first official after party of Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, Party at the Paramount presented by Raising Cane’s, featuring festival artists Johnny Mullenax, Holy Roller, and Florencia & The Feeling.
Mullenax, a Tulsa native, grew up in a musical family. He started playing the guitar at age five. In his teens, he followed his family to the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. He showed up with just a guitar and ended up sleeping in a stand-up bass case. Claiming wide-ranging influences from AC/DC and the Ramones to John Coltrane and Parliament, Mullenax calls his genre-bending sound a funky country bluegrass good time.
“Life is too short to play one style of music,” Mullenax said, “and if you have an opportunity to try something different then you should give it a shot.”
Holy Roller is a Richmond-based group working to prove that they intend to be the new face of southern rock. Holy Roller is said to be dominating the East Coast, selling out nearly every show over the last year. Their sophomore album, “Good Religion” is out now.
Johnson City Tenn.-based pop-funk band Florencia & The Feeling formed in April 2021, and has since been lighting up stages across the eastern U.S. with live shows described as bursting with joy, groove, and connection. Their energy and genre-bending sounds have earned them top honors as winners of both the 2025 FloydFest On-The-Rise Competition and the 2024 MerleFest Band Competition, along with coveted spots at festivals, including Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival, and Rooster Walk. Blending upbeat funky rhythms, heartfelt songwriting, soaring four-part harmonies, and a touch of jazz and Latin flair, Florencia & The Feeling create a sound uniquely their own.
“We’re elated to bring these three dynamic groups together for our first official after party,” said Festival Director Richard Oakley. “Johnny Mullenax and his band are absolutely on fire right now, which we are thrilled to pair with the passion of Holy Roller, as well as the electric Florencia & The Feeling. Experiencing all three together in Paramount Bristol is a can’t miss moment in Bristol music history.”
Tickets to Party at the Paramount presented by Raising Cane’s are on sale now at the presale price of $25 and will be $30 at the door. Admission is included with the purchase of a VIP ticket. Separate ticket purchase is required for all festival GA ticket holders.
