On Oct. 24, the Chilhowie High School Mighty Warrior band traveled to Richlands to compete in the Big Blue Classic Band Competition.
The Sound of the Valley continued earning Superior ratings for the season with their show "Not Another Brick."Â In addition to their superior rating, they earned first place in music and drum-major, and second place in marching, general effect, percussion, color guard, and second in their class.Â
As the competition season is coming to an end and concert season is just around the corner, the band would like to ask the community to be on the lookout for upcoming fundraisers as they continue to earn funds to help pay for new uniforms and equipment. The band said support is greatly appreciated.
