Editor's Note
Editor’s Note: Candace is the first person I met in Floyd County in the fall of 2020, while interviewing for the managing editor’s position.
Since then, she has been a confidant, compass and window into what matters to Floyd County residents.
While I’m elated for her to enter a new chapter that will allow her to continue impacting the community and spend time with her family, I would be remiss to not recognize the incredible hole that will be felt both personally and at the core of The Floyd Press from her absence.
There are a number of unfortunate changes that the local community should note going forward:
Subscription and advertising matters will no longer be handled in The Floyd Press office. Any such information will have to be forwarded to the appropriate departments, and parties will be followed up with in a timely manner.
Subscription issues should be directed to the Call Center at (276) 645-2530
Editor Whitt will continue to be in the office (204-B Floyd Highway S.) during the week for editorial and other matters. Please knock for assistance as the door will be locked.
Utilize the drop box on the deck for any editorial content brought to the office when no one is in and/or email submissions/tips to awhitt@floydpress.com.
