MARION, Va. Roy Earl Wilson Sr., age 79, died Friday, February 24, 2017. He was born January 16, 1938, to the late Leroy and Pearlie Mae Wilson. He was proud to be a Veteran of the United States Navy, having joined Company 59 in Bainbridge, Maryland in 1955. Roy loved his family, wood working and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Lassiter; two grandchildren, Preston and Spencer Camacho; and one great-grandchild, Caleb McGrady. Roy is survived by two sons, Roy Wilson and wife, Karen of Franklin, Va., and James Daniels of Marion, Va.; three daughters, Helen Holman and husband, Larry, Julia Pauley and husband, Brian, all of Marion, Va. and Shelia Camacho and husband, Lucio of Chesterfield, Va.; sister, Judy Medeiros and husband, Larry of Marion, Va.; seven grandchildren, Nicole McGrady and husband, Stacy of Marion, Va., Kenneth Wilson and wife, Terri of Christiansburg, Va., Amber Hancock and husband, Anthony of Chesterfield, Va., Kristina Wood of Coral Spring, Fla., Anna Holman of Marion, Va., Landon Camacho and Luca Camacho, both of Chesterfield, Va.; two great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; one nephew; three nieces; and several great-nephews and great-nieces. Funeral services with Military Rites will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 12 until 1 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
