Mrs. Joy Baldwin, age 72, of Pounding Mill, Va., passed away Friday, August 14, 2015. Born in Buchanan County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Otis and Texie Elkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Elkins and Doug Elkins; one sister, Doris Elkins; and one son-in-law, Kevin Patrick. Mrs. Baldwin is survived by the father of her children, Sherman Baldwin of N. Tazewell, Va.; one son, Gregory Baldwin and wife, Tina, of Covington, Ga.; one daughter, Glenna Deel and husband, Robert, of Richlands, Va.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Marin, Aaron Baldwin, Jason Patrick, Jonathan Baldwin, Zachary Patrick, Cain Deel and Ethan Deel; eight great-grandchildren, Emma Baldwin, Jaelynn Patrick, Joselyn Marin, Jaida Baldwin, Zayden Newberry, Jameson Marin, Braxton Patrick and Madilyn Grey Deel; two sisters, Linda Price of Wardell, Va., and Jackie Rose of Short Gap, Va.; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Joy Baldwin were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015, at the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff, Va., with Pastor Greg Baldwin and Pastor Charlie McGlothlin officiating. Burial followed in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill, Va. Grandsons were pallbearers. The family received friends at the Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, Va., from 6 until 9 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015.
