Cerena Louise Scott MARION, Va. Cerena Louise Scott, age 65, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016, at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents Major Ralph Chatam and Jessie Lou Chatam and was preceded in death by three infant children and her brother Don Chatam. She attended the Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Highlands Fellowship in Marion. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who would do anything for anybody. She is survived by her children, Mike Speer and wife, Vikki of Marion, Jamie Phillips and wife, Barbara of Marion; her grandchildren, Hunter Fuller, Michael Speer, Kayla Widener, Dray Speer, Blake Calhoun, Benjamin Calhoun, Jett Phillips and Jarrett Phillips; her great-grandchildren, Bryleigh, Emma, Gracie and Carson; brothers and sisters, Doris and Ralph Dolinger of Marion, Thelma and Billy Barnhart of Honaker, Phyllis and James Surber of Atkins, Stanley Chatham of Marion, Larry and Sandy Chatham of Marion, Gary Chatham of Marion, Mike and Cindy Chatham of Chilhowie, Glenda Blankenbeckler of Atkins, Patricia Chatham of Marion; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016, from the Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 till 3 p.m. prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
