A bus filled with police in riot gear — shields, helmets and zip ties — arrives at the site of the VCU pro-Palestine protest at about 8:30 p.m. Monday. Demonstrators demanded an immediate end to Israel’s offensive in Gaza.
Among the VCU students protesting on behalf of Palestinians were Avraham, an Orthodox Jew, Ph.D. student Aries Loumis-Demetrakopoulos and Oscar Ferguson-Osborne, who was arrested.
