The Nuggets are one win away from securing their first championship in franchise history, but before that happens, the Heat will try to send the series back to Miami one more time.

2023 NBA Finals Nuggets vs. Heat Game 5: Odds and picks
Denver now holds a 3-1 lead and hopes to finish the series on their home floor tonight. They've had control of this series basically from the jump, butÂ
Here's all you need to know ahead of making Heat vs. Nuggets Game 4 picks:
- Date: June 12, 2023
- Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
- Where: Ball Arena (Denver, CO)
- Broadcast: ABC
- Stream: ESPN+, fuboTV, Sling TV, Hulu+ Live TV
- NBA odds today: Nuggets (-8.5, -375), Heat (+8.5, +300)
NBA Finals Game 5 best bets: Nuggets moneyline (-375 or better)
It's hard to pick against the Nuggets tonight, just as it has been all postseason long.
Denver has proven themselves as being the best team in the league and should close things out tonight to secure their first NBA championship in franchise history.
Nikola Jokic still managed to put up 23 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and three blocks in Game 5 despite foul trouble that kept him out of most of the fourth quarter. He's surely on his way to the NBA Finals MVP.
Jamal Murray has turned into a passing savant, averaging 10.5 assists in these Finals. This could be considered the biggest X-factor of the series with the Heat turning Jokic into more of a scorer.
Christian Braun had that huge Game 3 and Bruce Brown just dropped 21 off the bench as well in Game 4. Plus, Aaron Gordon led the team in scoring with 27 last time out.
They just seem to have all the answers across the board.
The Heat haven't been the same since nearly blowing their 3-0 lead to the Celtics. Yes, they escaped history by winning Game 7, but that series just showed us who they really are.
While Bam Adebayo has played a great series, we haven't seen the same production out of Jimmy Butler that we've been used to in Miami's last few playoff runs.
Max Strus' shooting (16% from the field, 19% from 3) and Gabe Vincent's production (42 points combined in first two games, nine points combined in last two) has taken out a huge part of Miami's game.
Denver is too big, too skilled and just too good for Miami. It's been proven up to this point, so we can't pick against them tonight.Â
June 12 NBA picks: Nikola Jokic and Jimmy Butler props, plus more NBA Finals Game 5 best bets
Nikola Jokic props: Over 12.5 rebounds (-140 or better)
The Joker has surprisingly only hit this over once in this series, but we still like it tonight in an elimination game.Â
Jokic grabbed 12 boards in Game 4 despite playing just 37 minutes due to foul trouble. He's arguably the best rebounder in the league and is ready to close out these finals on his home floor.
Miami is too small to stop Jokic (6-foot-11), specifically on the glass. Adebayo is only 6-foot-9, Kevin Love is 6-foot-8, and even when Cody Zeller (6-foot-11) comes in, he's not even close to the caliber of player that's able to handle Jokic down low.
The altitude change should impact shot-making, leading to a lot more rebounding opportunities for Jokic.
Jimmy Butler props: Under 27.5 points (-120 or better)
Butler's eclipsed this over just once -- 28 points in Game 3 -- during this series.
We'd grown accustomed to seeing a different version of Jimmy Butler in the playoffs, simply known as "Playoff Jimmy." But it hasn't felt the same.
Even in losses, Playoff Jimmy stole the show and really seemed to give it all he had, each and every night.Â
Between this change (shooting just 44.6 percent from the field) and the altitude change, 28+ points seems like a lot for Butler tonight.Â
