Police arrest Shannon “Danny” Clawson of Roanoke, after Clawson refused to leave the July 27 Roanoke County School Board meeting when Chairman Brent Hudson ordered the room cleared. Melee at that meeting have prompted new procedures for public speakers at school board meetings.

New procedures for public speakers at Roanoke County School Board meetings require speakers sign up at least 10 hours before a school board meeting begins; and that they check in and furnish photo identification that displays their address at least 30 minutes before the 6 p.m. meetings begin.
