Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a lending cooperative serving Virginia, West Virginia, and western Maryland, recently contributed $5,000 to the American Cancer Society whose mission is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat and survive cancer. The donation was made as part of its Bridging Connections event.
On Columbus Day, while branch offices were closed, FCV employees engaged with customer-owners by visiting farm businesses across the region. These visits provided insights into various production practices, fostering learning, engagement and stronger connections within the agricultural community.
Pete Cypret, CEO of FCV, said, "Our Bridging Connections event underscores our commitment to both our customer-owners and the broader community. Supporting the American Cancer Society aligns with our values and dedication to making a positive impact."
Farm Credit of the Virginias says it remains dedicated to serving the agricultural industry and rural communities through financial services and community engagement initiatives.
