Saturday, April 11, marks the return of Titans of the Cage 37 to the Wytheville meeting center. Titans of the cage promotions is set to bring you a thrilling evening of MMA fighting featuring local fighters, as well as fighters from across the region and surrounding states. Prepare yourself for an epic night of punching, kicking, jarring takedowns and submissions, as we currently have 25 action packed bouts scheduled.
Three big title fights are on tap, as Gavin Thomas of Lincolnton, NC steps up to challenge one of the country’s top amateur prospects in Trig Tennant of Beaufort, SC in the main event of the evening for the TOC featherweight belt. Jake Weathers of Team SAGA out of NC steps up to take on the rising Liam Kirkpatrick of Charlotte, NC for the welterweight title. Raleigh King who represents The Foundry MMA in Beaufort, SC will try to claim the TOC lightweight title when he faces Kyshon Lee of Advantage Martial Arts in Princeton, WV.
In a featured bout, two TOC veterans will share the cage when former TOC lightweight champion, KC Cockran of Team Hybrid out of Roanoke, VA faces grizzled veteran, Luke Kincer of Ring Combat Sports in Wytheville. Our second featured bout will be a women’s boxing bout when the ultra popular April Cline squares off against the reigning TOC bantamweight MMA champion, Hannah Ross. In a special TOC Legend’s boxing bout it will be two “old school” TOC fighters who were trail blazers of the sport in our area going head to head and letting the leather fly when Chachi Tabor of Pennington Gap straps them on to do battle with Brandon “Tango” Rogers of Team Advantage in Princeton, WV. In a battle of two returning TOC prospects, Harley Jennings of Bluefield Jiu-Jitsu takes on Trevor Sandefer of Wolf Hills Jiu-Jitsu out of Abingdon.
Other Wytheville based fighters representing Ring Combat Sports that will be in action include; Richard Farley, Cameron Jackson, Josh Howard, Keyton Warden, Lydia Absher, Brady Lambert, Sierra Llewellyn and Rodney Hylton. Other fighters from around the region who you will see inside the cage are; Piper Smith and Michael Ogden of Absolute JJ in Bristol, TN. Sadie Sherrill, Ethan Penaloza and Zeke Pierce all out of Excelsior MMA in Hickory, NC will be competing. Advantage MMA of Princeton sends three of its top prospects to the cage in Brody Lowe, Alex Patton and Nicholas Blankenship.
Still others from around the area include Abel Bernard of Hybrid MMA in Roanoke, Devin White and William Hernandez both of Body Shot Combat out of Stanley NC, as well as Alexis Serrano and Demarial Grant out of Beaufort, SC. Other rising regional fighters slated to fight include; Chanler Wimmer, Thomas Van Dyke, James Bowman, Zaynn Engel, Nathaniel Roberts, Josh Mauck, Draven Mullins, Sean Thomas, James Blanton, Darrell Brown, Taylor Vance, Ben Blankenship and Alan Anwar.
Doors open at the meeting center at 3:00 PM and the action starts promptly at 4:00 PM. The Grayson Restaurant food truck will be on site providing an outstanding selection of concessions. The event is sanctioned by United Combat arts and the VA DPOR who oversees all MMA events throughout the state.
