Library Notebook: Paper flower bouquet workshop set
Once again, all three of Wythe County’s public libraries have activities coming up for folks of all ages. That starts today at the Wythe County Public Library, with Dungeons & Dragons role-playing gaming at 10 a.m. and the Adult Coloring Club at noon.
Want to learn how to make paper flower bouquets? The Wythe County library has a workshop on that very thing Monday at 5 p.m. Registration is required, so drop by the library or call (276) 228-4951 to secure a place.
Storytime for preschoolers is Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Wythe County library, this week’s theme being, appropriately, “Library Day.” And the Adult Coloring Club gets together again there at noon to enjoy its relaxing hobby.
The Fort Chiswell Public Library at Max Meadows has a Trivia Night planned for Wednesday at 6 p.m. Join the group for an hour and test your knowledge of all kinds of things.
The Friends of the Wythe County library meet Thursday at 4 p.m. for their monthly session. Check it out. You might want to join this library support group.
The Writing Writers, a mutual support group for people interested in any kind of writing from letters to novels, is Friday at 10 a.m. at the Wythe County library. The Twisted Stitchers, for people interested in any kind of knitting, meets there Friday at 2 p.m.
The Rural Retreat Public Library hosts more Dungeons & Dragons gaming on Friday, starting at 4 p.m.
The Winter Reading Program at Wythe County’s libraries ends after Friday, so pick up those book logs at your library and list whatever books you have read since Jan. 5. For every filled-out book log you bring back to your library, you get an entry in a drawing for prizes. This coming week…last chance!
