Emory & Henry welcomes new Board of Trustees members
Emory & Henry University announced the election of five individuals to its Board of Trustees, including a Chilhowie native.
The following newly elected members will join the Board at the next meeting in November: Todd Clevenger ’86, of Roanoke; Aaron Fuller ’97, of Nashville, Tenn.; Josh Myers ’08, of Greensboro, N.C.; Stephanie Strutner ’02, of Knoxville, Tenn.; and Nicole “Bambi” Osborne Watson ’03, of Chattanooga, Tenn.
“Emory & Henry University is delighted to welcome these outstanding professionals to our Board of Trustees,” said Dr. Lou Fincher, president of Emory & Henry University. “Each individual brings a unique perspective and skillset to the Board, which will enable us to move the University forward with continued growth and opportunity.”
Current Board Chair Tyler Kidd ’98, said, “The variety of experience each new Board member brings to the table is an asset to the University and to our community. I look forward to welcoming these new members as partners in guiding the strategic direction of Emory & Henry.”
Clevenger is the principal and co-owner of L.W. French, an electrical supply and installation company that works across the commonwealth. He credits his experience at Emory & Henry as leading to his successful career.
Fuller is a senior vice president and wealth advisor for UBS Financial Services in Memphis and Nashville, Tenn. Fuller has previously worked at U.S. Trust, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. He played football at Emory & Henry and was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in 2019. In 2025, Fuller was selected by Forbes Magazine as one of the “best-in-state” financial advisors.
Myers is the owner and president of EMM Financial Services in Greensboro, N.C. Myers currently serves on the Guilford Soil & Water Conservation Board and has worked to secure federal relief aid in western North Carolina following Hurricane Helene.
Strutner helped found Catalyst Evaluation Group, which helps clients in the public health sector demonstrate their impact on communities. She is currently the president and lead epidemiologist and CEO/owner of the company. Strutner regularly provides testimony and presentations on the impact of drug use on communities at the international, national and state level. She is a multigenerational alumna of Emory & Henry who counts her father, uncle, grandfather and great uncle as fellow alumni.
Watson is a native of Chilhowie, who currently serves as partner and special counsel at BGR Group, where she advises clients on public policy and regulatory matters. Watson is married to Tennessee State Sen. Bo Watson. She was named a “20 under 40” in Chattanooga in 2021.
These new Board members are expected to work closely with University leadership to guide, direct and advance the mission of Emory & Henry University. Not only do members provide strategic guidance and stewardship to the University but they also ensure fiscal and administrative strength while supporting increased community engagement.
