GALLERY: Pat Sharkey's retirement party, July 30, 2021

Friends, colleagues and business owners turned-out for Pat Sharkey’s retirement party Friday afternoon at the Jessie Peterman Library to celebrate Pat and her achievements during her eight-year tenure as Floyd's first tourism director.

Pat said this week it is an incredibly humbling experience to be able to walk away from a job and a role as high-intensity as a director, and feel so loved. "It reminds me just how caring our whole working community is here (in the county and town offices)," she said.
