Fall on the Farm: Richdale Farm Open Day will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, with Saturday hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday hours, noon-6 p.m. through Nov 1.

Jamboree: The WCC Jamboree at Snyder Auditorium will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. with Coyote Ugly and Denim & Plaid.

Men’s Breakfast: West End Methodist Church is having their Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 a.m. Start your day with a good home cooked meal and the fellowship of friends and neighbors.

Gospel Music: Carpenters Coalition Quintet will present their program "Celebrating God’s Gift of Gospel Music" will be the program for the Macdowell Music Club meeting on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church on Main Street in Rural Retreat. Everyone is invited to this free event.

Chamber Banquet: The 80^th annual Wytheville-Wythe-Bland Chamber of Commerce Membership Meeting & Awards banquet is set for Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Red Stag Dinner Theatre at 6 p.m. Deadine to buy tickets is Oct. 14.

WCC Halloween: The WCC Community Halloween Event at 1000 E. Main Street, will be held Thursday, Oct. 22, from 5-7 p.m.

Craft Sale: West End Methodist Church, 1030 West North Street, Wytheville is having their Craft Sale on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Would you like to set up a table? Fall Yard Sale: Sunday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Echo Valley School, 265 Echo Valley Road, Wytheville, down the road from the Wytheville SDA Church, which will be putting on the Yard Sale. All sales are Cash Only! There will be a variety of vendors. All are welcome to come to the Yard Sale!

Mayhem on Main: Downtown Wytheville Mayhem on Main Street Kids Fun Run will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. There will be various stations, obstacles, challenges, prizes for the best costume and for the top finishers in each age category.

Trunk or Treat: There will be a Trunk or Treat at the Rural Retreat Heritage Park in Rural Retreat, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 1-3 p.m.

Divine Restoration of the Home: At the Wytheville SDA Church, 1600 Chapman Road, Wytheville, on Friday, Nov. 6, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. [The Home-Church Connection], and on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. [The Need for Divine Restoration of the Home], and from 2:30 - 4 p.m. [Men/Women Breakout Sessions with Structured Children's Program provided during these two sessions], and from 4:30 - 6 p.m. [How to Have a Heaven on Earth]. A plant-based haystack potluck will follow the 11 a.m. service. These sessions are all FREE. The speaker for the programs will be Evangelist Don Budd. All are welcome! Operation Christmas Child: West End Methodist Church has been approved as a drop of location for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Collection week is Nov. 16-22. Schedule will be closer to that week on the West End Facebook page.

Library: The Friends of the Rural Retreat Public Library will meet on the second Monday of the month at the library from 2 to 3 p.m.

Radio Club: The Briarpatch Amateur Radio Club serves amateur radio operators in Southwest Virginia and northwestern North Carolina. All amateur radio operator are invited to the on-air weekly gathering held each Tuesday night at 8 p.m. with a frequency of 147.090+ and 103.5 tone.
