Lewis Bebber started as a Smyth County school bus driver in 1970. Fifty-five years later he’s still driving. As much as his skills behind the wheel, officials admire his interactions with students.

School Board member Lynn White presented the Middle School Attendance Award to Chilhowie Middle. JJ Green and student Douglas accepted. Douglas auditioned for All-District Choir and was the highest scoring alto in his grade. He also is a trombone player with the school band.
