The nurse accused of abusing a baby at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital will receive a mental health evaluation, after a prosecutor said there is evidence the nurse has a problem with substance abuse and mental health disorders.
For more than a year, executives at Henrico Doctors' Hospital refused to acknowledge that an abusive nurse could have caused injuries to newborn babies in the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit, a grand jury said.
