UVa football player charged with rape fights allegations with text evidence
Former UVa wide receiver Jahmal Edrine faces allegations of abduction and rape, but text messages between him and his alleged victim tell a different story.
The man who would have been the University of Virginia's top returning wide receiver appeared composed over a jailhouse video feed Monday morning while his attorney argued in Albemarle County Circuit Court that a paper trail, which tells a very different story than the one laid out in a pair of grand jury indictments, should see the light of day.
