Becky Fisher is the Talent Solutions Manager with the Mount Rogers Regional Partnership. She works in conjunction with the Wythe County Technology Center to aid students in career paths.
Mount Rogers Regional Partnership is a regional economic development organization (REDO) whose mission is to support the creation of job opportunities, a broadened tax base and an improved standard of living for the residents of Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth and Wythe counties and the city of Galax by attracting and encouraging national and international businesses to locate and invest in the region, as well as by assisting existing companies to create or retain jobs. The organization is led by Executive Director Nichole Hair. The organization recently underwent a strategic planning process, a significant outcome of which was the development of the Talent Solutions team. The Mount Rogers Regional Partnership Talent Solutions team works closely with partners to host programs aimed at strengthening the local economy by attracting and retaining quality workforce.
The future of the historic Carnegie High School is up for community consideration.
