Contractors began work Friday, June 21, to raise a more than 300-foot tall tower crane to assist with construction of the General Assembly Building. The work is expected to be completed on Monday, June 24. The crane will be installed on the south side of the new General Assembly Building. The initial height of the tower crane will be 307 feet with a hook height of 277 feet. In mid-2020, the crane will be extended to 340 feet, with a hook height of 310 feet. The crane has a 236-foot swing radius.
