WASHINGTON — FIFA President Gianni Infantino defended world soccer’s disciplinary process Monday amid an international wave of criticism after President Donald Trump praised FIFA’s decision to suspend Folarin Balogun’s World Cupred-card ban, and as the controversy spilled over into politics.
